Perhaps the top target left for Boise State in the 2014 class is Miami QB commit Brad Kaaya.
It's no secret the staff and commits are recruiting and starting the #Kaaya2Boise movement. Credit Dylan Sumner-Gardner for leading the movement prior to his enrollment.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prep has gone undercover since returning home from his Boise trip. Yesterday he hosted the Boise staff in full force.
My best sources tell me the visit went incredibly well. I'm told the staff put the full-court press and was well received during their visit.
Could Kaaya stick with his Miami commitment? Certainly could happen. But the longer this plays out, the better it looks for Boise State. Once again, a delayed decision doesn't make him a slam dunk to Boise, but if he is solid with Miami and not considering the Broncos, then why hasn't he declared such?
The truth is he is very seriously considering Boise State. He is not considering USC or UCLA, as both are full at his position.
The Boise State staff has not made any other quarterback offers as they take a wait and see approach with Kaaya, who has informed them he is still considering them.
There is no set deadline for a final decision which could roll into signing day. One thing to note about Kaaya is he isn't an attention starved young man. He's not doing this to keep his name in the headlines.
He's legitimately torn regarding this decision. As of note, I updated my crystal ball prediction to Boise State this afternoon.
